The DELUXE crib mattress has the added feature of reinforced edges which make it an appropriate choice if, at some time, you choose to use the crib mattress in a toddler bed.All of these organic crib mattresses meet safety requirements set forth by the CPSC. The layer of organic wool in the organic crib mattress acts as a natural flame retardant. Because of the wool in the crib mattresses,they meet federal flame retardant standards without any flame breaker, silicon, boric acid or any chemical flame retardant including no PBDE's.

Care Instructions: PROTECT YOUR CRIB MATTRESS WITH A WOOL PUDDLE PAD. The wool puddle pad is placed directly on top of the mattress. You also may want to use an organic cotton mattress pad over the wool puddle pad for extra protection. But if you use only one pad, the wool puddle pad is recommended since wool provides the best moisture protection for your crib mattress without resorting to a plastic pad.
